Bhumi Pednekar says Ranveer Singh can be a 'sex upchaar doctor'. Find Out Why?

Actress Bhumi Pednekar, who recently appeared on Neha Dhupia's podcast 'No Filter Neha', has suggested an alternate career for many Bollywood stars, but what caught everyone's attention was the option she chose for Ranveer Singh.

When Neha Dhupia asked Bhumi who would be a cricket commentator, she took Ayushmann Khurrana's name, a stand-up comedian for her would be Arjun Kapoor and her choice for a sex upchaar doctor was Ranveer and said, “I think he will have some great hacks.”

During the chat, Bhumi also talked about auditioning Ranveer for Band Baaja Baaraat when she was a casting director. “I’m actually in the audition, it’s on YouTube,” she said, adding that she found it when one of the fan clubs tagged her.

“It was great fun yaar, his energy was just amazing, I was blown away. I was so intimidated by him because I was like, my god what a fantastic actor and what energy. From whatever I’ve heard from Shanoo (Sharma, casting director at Yash Raj Films) he is as authentic as it gets,” she said.

Bhumi, who was recently seen in the Netflix original film Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, revealed what it was like for her during the lockdown. She said that while some days were ‘really, really good’, she just felt like getting out of her house on others.

On the work front, Bhumi Pednekar will be next seen in Durgavati, which is the remake of Anushka Shetty starrer Telugu hit Bhaagamathie. Talking about it, Bhumi said, "Durgavati is going to take me in horror space. It is the most challenging and special film for me as it is for the first time the responsibility will be on my shoulders. Durgavati is something I'm most pressured and excited about. Akshay sir is a genius, I respect him." Directed by Ashok, the film is produced by Abundantia Entertainment's Vikram Malhotra.
