After 'Mulk', Taapsee and Anubhav to reunite for 'Thappad'

After their successful film 'Mulk' together, Taapsee Pannu and director Anubhav Sinha are in talks for another socio-political drama.

According to a report, the venture is titled 'Thappad'. The film will go on the floors in late August and will be shot in Delhi.

A source said, "Anubhav had decided on casting Taapsee Pannu while they were still shooting Mulk. It's a female-oriented subject that defies narratives typecasting women. It questions the society and will deliver a poignant message on world domination by women. Taapsee's protagonist will be a middle-class girl."

Currently, Taapsee is busy shooting in Uttar Pradesh for Anurag Kashyap's 'Saand Ki Aankh' with Bhumi Pednekar. Directed by debutante Tushar Hiranandani, the film is based on the UP-based octogenarian sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar.
